This is subject to availability and consent. All continental hires must be authorised by City Inter-Rent and discussed prior to hire commencement. Additional charges will apply.
We can provide child and baby seats. Additional charges will apply. Fitting is the responsibility of the hirer.
All hirers must present a full driving license, a valid passport and two additional forms of ID (e.g. bank statement, utility bill, etc).
Only the renter or other drivers approved by City Inter-Rent at the time of rental are permitted to drive the vehicle. An additional charge will be applied for more than one driver.
Minimum age limits do apply to drivers and the limits depend upon the vehicle type hired (see Hire Tariff). There is a maximum age limit of 70 years.
The driving license must have been held for at least 24 months at the time of rental. Overseas visitors may present their own national driving license or an international driving license.
Endorsed driving licenses will be accepted at the discretion of City Inter-Rent.
Payment is only acceptable by major credit cards. At hire commencement, the estimated rental charge and the applicable refundable deposit will be required. The credit card holder must be present at the time of rental.
A minimum of 48 hours rental applies Monday-Thursday and a minimum weekend hire from Friday-Monday.
Please note, the last termination before Monday morning is 16.00 hrs Friday afternoon. Any terminations after this time will be charged to Monday morning. City Inter-Rent reserves the right to apply minimum hire periods without prior notice.
Every effort will be made to supply the make and model requested, however in the unlikely event that the specific vehicle is not available and alternative model of similar size or higher will be offered.
A minimum charge of £50.00 applies for aborted deliveries and/or collections. The hire period will continue until the vehicle is collected.
A minimum of 48-hours notice is required for cancellations. Cancellations made within 24-hours of rental commencement will attract a charge of 50% of 1 day's hire. Last minute terminations will be charged for as one day's hire.
At least two hours notification, within office hours, is required for vehicle terminations. The hirer is responsible for the safekeeping and well being of the vehicle until City Inter-Rent collects it. All costs relating to parking etc. whilst awaiting collection are the hirer's responsibility. The hirer's responsibility lapses 8-working hours after the agreed collection time, at this point City Inter-Rent is responsible for the vehicle.
Vehicles returned later in the day than the time specified on the rental agreement are subject to an additional days hire charge.
All vehicles must be returned containing the same level of fuel it was released with. It is the hirer's responsibility for fuel used during delivery and/or collection. Vehicles requiring refuelling upon collection will be refuelled at a charge of £1.85 per litre plus VAT.
100 miles free per day and thereafter an excess mileage charge will apply (see Hire Tariff).
In the event that a vehicle is damaged whilst on hire, City Inter-Rent must be notified immediately. All repair costs and a loss of use charge will be applied until the vehicle is fully repaired and available for hire. The loss of use charge is the daily rate. The total cost will not exceed the insurance excess assuming insurance was purchased.
A non-waivable excess applies equivalent to the deposit (see prices chart) will apply in the event of damage or theft. The hirer's liability will be limited to the insurance excess amount.
These excesses can be reduced for a small daily payment. Please ask for details.
