Usain Bolt flies through Monte Carlo city circuit
Nov 27 2008, 04:11 PM
Olympic gold medal winner Usain Bolt "broke" his 100 and 200m Olympic records by moving at lightning speed in Monte Carlo, sports car rental fans and supercar buffs may be pleased to know.

However, his record will not go into any record books as the speed was achieved in a flashy red Ferrari F430 Spider on a section of the Monte Carlo Formula One city circuit.

The Jamaican champion fulfilled his dream of pushing a Ferrari through some of the corners of the track, which came following his impressive achievement at the Chinese Games.

Bolt is at Monaco to collect an Athlete of the Year award, which he is expected to receive during the World Athletics Gala organised by the International Association of Athletics Federations.

Meanwhile sports car hire fans should keep an eye out for a new Scuderia Spider 16M from the Italian manufacturer, which features "the very best of Ferrari's latest mid-rear-engined 8-cylinder technology", according to the carmaker.
