Supple ride and extra power with Land Rover Discovery 4
Jan 13 2010, 01:31 PM
Motorists deciding on purchasing the Land Rover Discovery 4 may note that among the most striking features of the vehicle is the supple ride it offers, according to a review.

Auto Express highlights that the vehicle has no problem manoeuvring across even the most bumpy road surfaces due to the combination of its kerbweight and air suspension.

The off-road appeal of the Land Rover is further enhanced through its high ground clearance, while a high-tech terrain response four-wheel drive transmission helps the vehicle steamroll on its way.

Meanwhile, motorists only have the choice between two engines, but one of these is the new 3.0-litre, twin-turbo V6 diesel, generating more power than the older 2.7-litre unit.

Alongside being refined, the newer engine is stated by the publication as causing the Discovery to be "more eager to move", with the sprint from still to 60 miles per hour able to be completed in nine seconds.

Furthermore, there is enough space for seven adults to sit in the vehicle thanks to its flexible seating configurations, while room is additionally maximised through the 4x4's innovative interior design.
