BMW has announced a host of new updates for its sporty M3 model for 2011, it has been revealed.
While there are only minor style changes
sports car hire enthusiasts may be interested in the new Competition Pack, which the manufacturer is releasing for its coupe and saloon models.
The pack will see the revised model get a ten-millimetre reduction in its ride height alongside lighter alloy wheels and revised stability control.
Motorists will also get the opportunity to enhance the sporting looks and dynamic of the M3 with a carbon-fibre bumper and rear spoiler.
Furthermore, BMW has bettered the environmental credentials of its high-performance sports car, improving its fuel consumption to 25.2mpg on a combined cycle and cutting CO2 emissions by 24g/km.
The current M3 special edition car has 420bhp and the ability to transport the driver from zero to 62mph in a time of just 4.8 seconds before hitting a top speed of - an electronically limited - 155mph.
