Performance car hire aficionados may be glad to hear that the Silverstone circuit in the south-east of England will soon be home to a brand new circuit.

Already the base of the Porsche Driving Experience Centre, Audi Driving Experience and Lotus Silverstone showroom, the new Stowe Complex is scheduled to be ready by March 2010.

The facility, which will feature customer-focused test track facilities, hospitality units and pit garages, will be at the centre of Silverstone's automotive and corporate provisions.

Motor sport lovers will be able to enjoy a new multi-surface 1.15-mile fully-licensed race track, which is part of the changes that will also see the existing Grand Prix circuit revamped.

"The-state-of-the-art Stowe Complex will further enhance our offering to manufacturers, corporations and brands involved in motorsport," explained Richard Phillips, managing director of Silverstone Circuits.

Such facilities allow sports car hire fans to take race-bred models like the Lotus Elise, Porsche Cayman and Audi R8 for handling sessions.
