Individuals looking for Range Rover car hire may be interested to know that the manufacturer has picked up a Car of the Year accolade.

The iconic 4x4 was chosen as the Best Full-Size Off-Road vehicle at the ceremony, which was held in Moscow earlier this year.

In excess of 1.5 million Russian motorists made their views count in the Car of the Year competition, with winning vehicles nominated as national favourites.

Aleksey Shilykovsky, Land Rover sales and marketing director for Russia, announced his delight upon receiving the award.

"We are thrilled that the Range Rover has been nominated Russia's best full-size off-road vehicle. It confirms its peerless position in an ever-competitive market," he added.

Among the features that help the Range Rover to stand out from its rivals include its elegant and authoritative road presence and impressive off and on-road performance.

The TDV8 model is able to complete the dash to 60mph in just 8.6 seconds, while a top speed of 124mph can be achieved.
