Bentley's manufacturing headquarters in Crewe was given the seal of approval by new business secretary Dr Vince Cable yesterday (May 20th).
Bentley car hire clients may be interested to learn that Dr Cable praised the highly-skilled workforce present at the £25 million facility.
The production plant - where the new flagship Mulsanne is being crafted - combines state-of-the-art machinery with the skills of renowned coachbuilders to offer motorists a unique blend of superior design.
Dr Cable praised the commitment of Bentley for contributing to a stronger and more balanced economy.
"The UK is open for business and we welcome the investment that is being made here by manufacturing companies, like Bentley, creating highly skilled workforces that will ensure our future growth," he added.
Each Mulsanne car built in the facility takes about 500 hours to construct, with a number of the components being hand-assembled.
Furthermore, the new vehicle is subject to over 2,000 quality checks before it makes its way off the production line.
