Porsche car hire clients may have tuned in at the weekend to watch an exciting opening round in the manufacturer's Carrera Cup.
The race meet, which took place at Thruxton, Hampshire, was dominated by Tim Harvey, who claimed victory in the opening two rounds of the competition to put him at the top of the leaderboard ahead of the next meet at the end of the month.
However, it was no easy ride for Harvey as he was pushed all the way by Euan Hankey, making his competition debut and finishing in third and second place respectively in the two races.
"If that's the pace that Euan has at this stage of the season, it's going to be hard work, Euan was all over me and kept me honest," Harvey revealed about the competition newcomer.
This year's Porsche Carrera Cup features a record 28-car field battling it out to be crowned champion, with a total of eight new drivers making their debuts in the race series.
Motorists compete in race-tuned 420bhp 911 GT3 Cup cars.
