Porsche has released details surrounding its new 911 GT2 RS high-performance sports car.

The vehicle, which will make its world debut at the Moscow Auto Show later this year (August 25th), is set to become the most powerful and fastest road-going car produced by the manufacturer.

Compared to the previous model, power has been increased by 90bhp and weight has been reduced by 70 kilograms.

This contributes to impressive performance statistics including a zero to 62mph time of 3.5 seconds.

Limited to just 500 examples worldwide, the 911 GT2 RS features a number of subtle style changes which help it stand out from the standard models in the marque's range.

The use of carbon-fibre-reinforced components in distinctive matt-black surface finish ensures that a unique look is created.

New, wider light-alloy wheels are contained within flared wheel arches and a revised front and rear spoiler add aerodynamic abilities to the car as well as additional downforce.

Versions of Porsche's 911 GT have been in existence since 1999.
