Luxury sports supercar manufacturer Porsche has introduced an innovative security mechanism that will be used exclusively on the wheels of the Porsche 911 Turbo.

This is good news for Porsche car rental fans who can take confidence in the fact that the new 19-inch wheels based on the Porsche RS Spyder racing car's wheels will not only have a security impact but a visual one too.

A new mechanism on the hub has been built to include a cartridge that is fitted with spring-mounted security bolts to keep the wheels intact without compromising the beauty of the car.

"Standing out clearly and impressively, the bolts on the new central locking are eloxy-plated in titanium colour and thus differ distinctly from the silver-coloured paint finish on the 19-inch RS Spyder wheels," says the luxury carmaker.

The special wheels of the model capable of a top speed of 193mph will be available as an option from next year.
