Photographs of the next generation of diesel-powered MINI sports car have been published by motoring magazines.
Fans of the range can look forward to enjoying even more powerful cars thanks to improvements carried out in the models expected to be launched next year at the Geneva Motor Show.
According to Motor Report, which is one of the sites that have published the spy photos, the vehicle's manufacturer looks eager to combine "the sportiness of the Cooper S with the thriftiness of the Cooper D".
Featuring a centrally-mounted exhaust system similar to that in the MINI Cooper S and John Cooper Works, the vehicle also has a sportier look thanks to a reworked bumper.
The Cooper D is the only diesel model in the MINI line-up of cars, which could in the future feature an all-electric vehicle, depending with how an ongoing trial in
south-east of England goes.
The Mini E is significantly cheaper to run than its fossil fuel-driven counterparts.
