New M5 could tempt individuals wanting high-performance executive car hire
Feb 26 2010, 02:50 PM
Individuals looking for executive car hire with a bit of excitement may be interested in news that the latest BMW M5 is being put through its paces before its release next year.

Currently testing in Sweden, the new high-performance saloon is expected to stick with the trend in use by many manufacturers by employing new technologies to reduce emissions and improve fuel economy.

BMW are fitting the M5 with a 4.4-litre bi-turbo V8, which will produce 578bhp and an impressive amount of torque.

The 60mph sprint is expected to be completed within 4.5 seconds and top speed should be limited at 155mph.

According to Auto Express, the M5 will receive many exterior design changes including deeper front and rear bumpers, a power bulge and bonnet vents.

As always M Sport 'gills' will feature behind the front wheelarches, while twin exhausts adorn the rear.

The M5 has been in production, in its various forms, since 1985.
