The inclusion of a new supercharged 5.0-litre V8 engine has taken the Jaguar XFR into a new league in terms of its power on the road, according to a review.
Although motorists are prevented from pushing above an electronically-limited top speed of 155 miles per hour, there is no stopping the little amount of time it takes to get there, according to Ian Johnson in an article for the Ayrshire Post.
Racing from still to 60 miles per hour can be achieved in 4.7 seconds, while in under two seconds drivers can get the thrill of accelerating from 50 to 70 miles per hour.
Meanwhile, the 510 brake horsepower given by the engine adds to what can be performed by the vehicle, which Mr Johnson states has a "razor sharp performance right across the spectrum".
Furthermore, the reviewer notes that the Jaguar XFR is no let down in other departments, as it "takes all of its super-fast qualities and mixes them with some incredibly safe and very advanced handling factors", alongside mixing "sporting excitement with supreme luxury".
The Jaguar XFR was first revealed at the Detroit Motor Show earlier this year.
