Executive car hire giant BMW has added another car to its ever increasing range.
The X1 is essentially an elevated 1-Series, designed to sit alongside the manufacturer's other vehicles in the X-range, notably the X3, X5 and X6, which account for one fifth of BMW's global sales.
Its range topping 123d that BMW will be launching first, gives motorists 201bhp and 295lb ft of torque, this means that zero to 62mph will be achieved in 7.3 seconds and it can hit a top speed of 127mph.
In a review for Top Gear, Matt Master describes the X1 as "genuinely brisk", considering its size, as well as highlighting the impressive 54.3mpg it can return on a combined cycle.
He also commends the 420-litre boot that the car has, something which makes it an ideal run-around for families.
The X1 was unveiled by BMW at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year.
