BMW 3-Series, which is a
prestige car hire favourite, has added another model to its range.
The 335is coupe fills the gap between the 300bhp 335i and the 414bhp M3, with its 3.0-litre inline six engine producing 320bhp, enough to take it to 62mph in just five seconds.
Writing for Car and Driver, Tony Quiroga highlights the car's new distinctive styling, which gives it a meaner and more aggressive look.
"A few laps around Portugal's Estoril racetrack revealed this car to be exactly what's suggested by the spec sheet: a powerful 3-Series with a fantastic soundtrack," he writes in the article.
"As one might expect from the carry-over chassis, the balance, the predictability and the unflappable poise that make the 3-Series one of our favourite cars are all there in spades."
BMW's 3-Series is its most popular car and has been in production since 1975.
