The new BMW 7-Series has a massive road presence which it transfers to its substantial interior, it has been noted.

According to a review by Car Dealer, the 730Ld works well as both a driver's car and a chauffer-driven ride, with superb agility and manoeuvrability for a car of its size combined with considerable room to comfortably relax in the rear.

Furthermore, the luxury 7-Series is laden with gadgets all controlled by a "much-improved" iDrive controller and accessible from the front and rear seats, including sat nav, TV stations and a numerous number of heat and adjustment settings for the leather seats.

It leads the reviewer to note: "We can't remember a car ever being this entertaining in the back.

"For the driver who likes to drive, without spending crazy amounts on fuel, it's the more favourable choice … big on the outside, big on the inside."

BMW car hire enthusiasts may be interested to note that the 3.0-litre straight-six diesel engine has 245bhp and will transport has the capability of transporting motorists to 60mph in 7.3secs and will keep going all the way to 153mph, while still achieving and an impressive 41.5mpg.

The 730Ld was introduced to the market at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show.
