Mini car hire customers looking to enjoy fun yet frugal motoring may wish to consider the new Clubman vehicle by the manufacturer.
Testing the model for Auto Trader, Rhian Angharad Jones claims that drivers can enjoy the drivability of a Mini with added space and efficiency.
She draws attention to the added space on offer in the car, with the double-doors at the rear making the Clubman stand out from its counterparts.
"The steering is responsive and the standard six-speed gearbox is impressively smooth, with plenty of acceleration in each gear - so much so that you couldn't help but smile while driving it," Ms Angharad Jones said.
"It's difficult to justify not opting for the more frugal option when it still provides a seriously fun driving experience."
According to figures released by Mini's parent company BMW, sales of the brand increased by 13.6 per cent in the first quarter of 2010, compared to last year.
