Mercedes car hire fans look forward to Spa
Aug 28 2009, 04:17 PM
London Mercedes car hire enthusiasts look set to receive more good news this weekend as the 2009 Formula One season heads to Spa Francorchamps for the Belgian Grand Prix.

McLaren-Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton looked strong in practice today (August 28th) as he topped the second session at the circuit followed by Toyota's Timo Glock and Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen.

Hamilton was denied victory in Valencia last weekend when a pitstop blunder by his crew handed the race lead to Brawn GP driver Rubens Barrichello leaving him to pick up just eight points.

However, the team is determined not to repeat the mistake and has gone through the footage to discover what went wrong, according to managing director Jonathan Neale.

He said: "What we need to do for this weekend is to learn from that and look at our decision-making. Everybody on the pit-wall has been through the debrief, and we will be sharper."

Jenson Button is still leading the championship's driver's standings.
