The
prestige car hire market could soon benefit from Mercedes' latest offering which one reviewer has described as "one of the most desirable cars on the road".
In a review for the Dumfries and Galloway Standard, Mike Torpey noted that the Mercedes-Benz CLS not only has the good looks of a coupe but it also offers motorists business class comfort.
The 350 CDI Grand Edition has a top speed of 155mph and will go from zero to 62 in a time of 6.5 seconds.
Mr Torpey also commended the Mercedes on its improved safety with bi-xenon lights giving the driver an extra 25 metres of vision.
"On the road the CLS is silky smooth, beautifully balanced and there's a positive feel from the multi-function steering wheel as the automatic seven-speed box skips seamlessly through the gears," he noted in the paper.
Motorists have a choice of four engines for the CLS including three petrol and one diesel.
