Mercedes-Benz car hire may be interested in news that the manufacturer will be equipping its S63 AMG with a new 5.5-litre V8 engine.
The more powerful and economical unit will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show and acts as a replacement to the outgoing 6.2-litre engine found on the car's predecessor, as well as highlighting the company's commitment to eco-friendly cars.
Mercedes-Benz says that despite the vehicle outputting over 500bhp, motorists can expect to witness improvements in economy and performance of around 25 per cent.
This is mainly due to the introduction of numerous new technologies to the car such as cylinder deactivation, stop-start, kinetic energy recovery and changed programming of the SpeedShift gearbox.
Meanwhile, two additional Mercedes-Benz models will also be launched in Geneva with the manufacturer again focusing on improving fuel consumption and lowering emissions.
The E250 CDI and C220 CDI boast CO2 emissions of 129g/km and 119g/km respectively.
