Mercedes-Benz car hire fans may be interested to learn that practicality is the biggest selling point for the manufacturer's E-Class estate model.

Writing for Autotrader, Richard Dredge highlighted the vehicle's class-leading load capacity of 1,950 litres as being its "key strength".

"With the biggest load bay in the business, if you can't fit it into an E-Class estate, you'll need a truck," Mr Dredge noted.

Furthermore, ample legroom in the rear of the car attracted the attention of the expert.

"As one of the biggest cars in the Mercedes range, it'll come as no surprise that there's no shortage of leg room in the front as well as the rear," the reviewer noted.

In addition, the car's performance received plaudits, with the entry-level petrol-powered E220 CGI ideal for everyday motoring.

Motorists who opt for the Mercedes-Benz E-Class estate will be able to benefit from a number of driver aids including advanced parking guidance and attention assist.
