Prestige car hire clients may be interested to hear about the level of development which has gone into creating Bentley's forthcoming luxury grand cruiser.
The manufacturer has released details surrounding the sumptuous interior of its flagship vehicle, which is the culmination of years of detailed research.
According to Bentley, when the Mulsanne enters production at its state-of-the-art Crewe assembly plant later this year it will raise the bar when it comes to luxury and uniqueness within a vehicle.
The company commissioned a thorough study to determine the signature features that have defined iconic Bentley cars over the years before designing the interior of the Mulsanne - including finding the best smell for the leather.
John Minshull, head of the Bentley laboratory in Crewe, explained that the majority of the work carried out on the vehicle occurred behind the scenes.
"This development and scientific testing work is a key part of the Mulsanne story as it provides our craftsmen and women with the best quality materials," he added.
"It is the combination of their creativity and our research which makes the Mulsanne interior so special."
The body of the luxury vehicle takes skilled craftsmen and women in excess of 125 man-hours to construct.
