Individuals who indulge in Porsche car hire in London may be interested to hear that the next-generation Cayenne sports utility vehicle (SUV) could be more nimble compared to its predecessor.

Photographs of what appears to be a slimmed down version of the luxury SUV have appeared on motoring websites, highlighting subtle changes that may win it even more fans.

According to reports, the German vehicle manufacturer plans to boost consumption by losing up to 200kg in weight, which could also help to shore up the car's performance and handling and cut emissions.

The new model's looks have moved it closer in appearance to its high-performance siblings, the 911 and Boxster, with the styling giving it a more streamlined exterior.

It is also reported that some features from the four-seat Porsche Panamera will be incorporated in the luxury SUV, which will feature efficiency technologies such as the stop/start mechanism.
