Motorists wanting to beat the winter weather in the UK may wish to look into hiring a 4x4, new figures could suggest.
According to statistics released by used car website carmony.co.uk, 70 per cent of all searches conducted on the site last month during the snow were for 4x4 vehicles.
Paul Coleman, managing director of carmony.co.uk, commented on the results: "With roads, schools and businesses closed during Britain's worst snow for 50 years, it seems 4x4s have suddenly become the vehicle of choice for many drivers."
This could mean that there is an increase in
Land Rover car hire as many motorists look to beat treacherous weather conditions.
Land Rover says that its Discovery 4 model has been designed to be bold, flexible and luxurious, stating that "with a progressive and contemporary exterior, Discovery 4 has a strikingly refined presence on and off-road".
The car is available with a choice of two separate engines - a 2.7-litre TDV or a 3.0-litre TDV6.
