Land Rover car hire enthusiasts who are looking for maximum performance from their vehicles may be interested in a performance upgrade.
The iconic off-road car could be the latest beneficiary of a new electronic-tuning re-map manufactured by Superchips Ltd.
Land Rover's popular 2.7-litre Discovery TDV6 is the model that the 'plug and go' ECU re-map can be used on, with the upgrade adding 40bhp and offering potential fuel economy gains of ten per cent.
Motorists will be able to enjoy extra pulling power thanks to the car's new 219bhp power output and an all-round smoother, livelier and sharper ride quality.
In addition, thanks to the Superchips ECU optimisation, there is the potential to improve the TDV6's average fuel consumption of 27mpg.
Motorists who decide to purchase the upgrade will be pleased to know that no specialist skills are needed to fit the technology to the car.
Superchips produces performance upgrades for a number of vehicle manufacturers including Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz.
