The Jaguar XF has beaten all competition for the second year in succession to take the All-Star award from AUTOMOBILE Magazine.
Judges were particularly impressed with the XFR ultra-sports model and singled out specific praise for the performance for little effort that it provided motorists.
Meanwhile, the vehicle's ability to suitably change from a luxury saloon into a car that would not look out of place on a race track also influenced the testers.
Richard Beattie, Jaguar North America executive vice president of marketing and sales, said: "The Jaguar XF has scored another great honour. It is a great achievement to be recognised as a superior automobile by automotive connoisseurs who travel the world testing the latest and greatest cars.
"The Jaguar renaissance will continue full speed ahead next year with the 2011 Jaguar XJ joining the XF and XK in our showrooms."
Motorists interested in purchasing the Jaguar XF have the choice between five engines and four trim levels, while the manufacturer highlights that it combines features of a sports car and a luxury saloon.
