The Jaguar S-Type is the ideal vehicle for any individual wishing to indulge in a spot of car hire while in London due to what it can offer.

Be it for executive or even luxury purposes, the S-Type comes equipped with a combination of the right tools to make any exercise in the car a rewarding experience.

According to a review of the luxury car hire model on What Car? the vehicle's "retro looks" may not be appealing to everyone but the vehicle has other more important attributes that make it great.

"The S-type is one of the most satisfying cars in its class to drive, with fluid handling, a supple ride and smooth engines and gearboxes," states the website, which adds that every model is well equipped.

A four-star rating was awarded to the vehicle for its performance by the website, which highlighted a car hire aficionado's favourite trait - "lots of power" - as a plus for the car. This is especially true of the diesel engine.

Sneaking through London in this sleek Jaguar S-Type can also be achieved by luxury car rental fans as the vehicle comes equipped with a hushed engine.

In motoring magazine Auto Express' Car Reliability Survey for 2008, the S-Type made the top 100 vehicles and secured a 9th place with a score of 87.31 per cent.

With votes collected from the public, and using a rating of one to 100 with one being best, the luxury car hire model scored well in performance, ease of driving and ride quality, scoring three in the first two and four in the latter.

Comfort came in at seven, while braking, which should be good news to anyone wishing to indulge in car hire in London, scored a similar figure.

Writing in the Sunday Times when the vehicle hit the market, motoring journalist Andrew Frankel said that the model's ride was pleasant, "firm enough to imply sportiness yet sufficiently smooth for Jaguar comfort".
