Prestige car hire fans interested in enjoying off-road driving while having fun may want to try out the luxurious Range Rover Supercharged from British carmaker Land Rover.
The model was recently reviewed by Jack Rix of auto magazine Evo, who was impressed with it and wrote that "pedalling a 2.7-ton box around intricate back-roads should not be this much fun".
According to the reviewer, Land Rover's decision to fit a five-litre supercharged V8 engine in the 2010 version of the car has yielded "impressive" results.
The engine generates a maximum torque of 2500rpm, which gives the vehicle a reported acceleration time from standstill to 60mph of just 5.9 seconds and a top speed of 140mph.
Praising the car's automatic dampers and understated facelift, Mr Rix concluded that "the revamped Range Rover is perhaps the ultimate expression of how comfortable and effortless a modern car can be".
An exclusive Range Rover customised by leading sporting gun manufacturers Holland & Holland and enhancements specialist Overfinch was recently launched.
