Alongside having an abundance of all of the things that motorists will expect from a sports car, the Porsche Boxster Spyder also "plugs the driver right into the heart of the machine", it has been stated.
Reviewing the vehicle for Top Gear magazine, Jason Barlow headed to the roads of California, where he experienced all of the good that the Spyder has to give.
As well as offering motorists the ideal relationship with all of the controls they will need, Mr Barlow remarks that the car provides "terrific responses" and a "surprisingly sweet" ride.
He said: "The Boxster's chassis has always been unflappable. Even on tight, slippery second-gear corners, where overhanging trees have kept things interesting, it doesn't bite.
"It has great brakes too, steel or ceramic. It's an exceptionally good car."
Furthermore, saving weight has been essential to engineers, with the vehicle the lightest in the current Porsche ranging, tipping the scales at 1,275 kilograms.
This is aided through the use of titanium in connecting rods and the gudgeon pins on the pistons being lighter than standard.
The Porsche 911 GT3 RS is another vehicle from the manufacturer confirmed to become available in the UK in 2010.
