Bentley is one of the most prestigious brands in the automotive industry boasting a pedigree that is as much classical as it is sporty and modern.
The English auto company known for its luxury automobiles and Grand Tourers dates back to the early part of the last century, having been founded by Walter Owen Bentley or 'W O' in 1919.
Since the first Bentley engine burst into life at New Street Mews in London all those years ago, Bentley Motors has steadily built a fan base among luxury car hire and executive car rental fans attracted by the company's classy machines.
And despite its svelte designs and instantly recognisable grill oozing executive authority, Bentley's sporting pedigree and high performance capabilities has always been present from the beginning.
The carmaker's "evolving series of acclaimed motor cars and a parade of racing triumphs" has over the years cemented the company's outstanding performance and earned it a special place in the automotive world.
Spurred by the words of W O himself, "to build a good car, a fast car, the best in class" Bentley has wowed many with its acclaimed vehicles that now boast five outright victories at Le Mans between 1924 and 1930 as well as a sixth in 2003, according to the company's website.
The company now has a global presence with regional offices not only in the UK but the US, Germany, Japan, China, Singapore, Australia, Korea, Mexico and the Middle East.
According to the company, there are some 212 Bentley facilities worldwide 24 of which are in the UK while the US and Europe are home to 38 and 52 respectively.
From the humble 1929 'Blower' Bentley, the carmaker has steadily rolled out a list of favourites including Queen Elizabeth II's Bentley State Limousine.
Other models include the 1935 Bentley 3.5 litre Cabriolet, the S1 Continental Fastback Coupé, the 1952 Bentley R Type and from the 1980s, the Bentley Mulsanne.
Lately, the carmaker has been turning heads with imposing yet graceful models such as the performance Bentley Azure Mulliner, the short wheelbase performance Continental T and the 2008 Bentley Continental Flying Spur Speed saloon.
Judging from company's sales figures, the Brand is on an upward spiral as over 10,000 cars were sold in 2007 compared to 1000 in 2003.
