Lotus have done a fabulous job with their first completely new model to hit the market in 13 years, particularly by encouraging more female drivers to the fleet, it has been stated.
Writing for the Ayrshire Post, Maurice Glover has remarked that the Lotus Evora combines performance, comfort and "gorgeous" styling.
However, it is the ease of entry and capability of performing on the shorter journeys as well as the longer-distance trips that is appealing to women behind the wheel.
UK general sales manager Chris Arnold told the publication: "The feedback we're getting from the showrooms is encouraging. Ladies like this car because getting in and out is much easier than they expect and they are finding it thoroughly practical transport for daily use.
"For the first time, we've provided a sports model that is just at home on the school run or shopping trips as it is when pushed to the limit."
A 3.5-litre V6 engine allows the vehicle to reach a top speed of 162 miles per hour, while the sprint from still to 62 miles per hour can be achieved in 5.1 seconds.
Furthermore, Mr Glover highlights that the Lotus Evora features a luxury cabin that has a "plush interior".
Additional features of the vehicle include a flat-bottomed steering wheel and adjustable Recaro leather sports seat in the front.
