Motorists will be given further hints as to the design of Mercedes-Benz' new CLS model when the marque displays a new concept car at the Geneva Motor Show, it has been reported.
An article on Autocar has revealed that the car - due for release at the end of 2010 - will take style cues from the new E-Class and SLS range.
The executive saloon will retain its coupe like roofline, but feature a redesigned grille bumpers and lights.
Mercedes-Benz car hire enthusiasts may be interested in news that chief designer Gordon Wagener plans to make future cars as aesthetically pleasing as possible.
He told Autocar: "We want to elevate our design towards art and if any company can do it Mercedes can.
"My goal is to make Mercedes the most beautiful car in the world, but also to give them style."
The CLS was originally designed to encompass elements of a coupe with practicality and comfort of a saloon car.
