Mercedes-Benz car hire clients may be pleased to hear that the forthcoming replacement to the R-Class model is an improvement on its predecessor.
The Sports Tourer is set to make its debut at the New York Motor Show later this week and will benefit from a substantial exterior facelift.
According to reports, the model features a new, sharper front-end and a more upright and larger grille, while it borrows the design of the twin fog lights found on the new E-Class range to complete its new look.
Furthermore, the rear of the car has been given new bumpers and a different tail light design.
Mercedes-Benz says that motorists purchasing the current R-Class will be able to enjoy a combination of styling cues of an SUV with the elegance normally found in a luxury saloon.
The manufacturer claims that the vehicle is the "most spacious car in the Mercedes-Benz range", with it able to provide a high degree of flexibility thanks to its 2,436-litres of load space.
