Motorists who opt for the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class Estate will be pleased to hear that one reviewer has claimed that the car offers value for money.

Writing for the Motors Merseyside website, Maxine Ashford explained that you get what you pay for when you choose to purchase a Mercedes-Benz, with build quality, high equipment levels and excellent ride quality to be expected.

Ms Ashford was testing the C180 CGI BlueEfficiency Estate Sport model for the website and reported that the car lived up to her high expectations.

Mercedes-Benz car hire fans may be interested to learn that the vehicle is deceptively agile and offers drivers excellent visibility.

In addition, Ms Ashford was impressed with the ride quality of the estate car and drew attention to the absence of cabin noise.

"On the more open road the 1.8-litre engine delivered plenty of power and the vehicle cruised effortlessly through the five-speed automatic transmission," she noted.

"The acceleration was impressive and so too was the road-holding for such a large vehicle."

Mercedes-Benz has been producing its C-Class vehicle since 1993.
