Equipment upgrades for Land Rover Range Rover Sport
Dec 8 2009, 04:46 PM
Motorists can benefit from an engine that is "quick, quiet and cultured" if opting for the latest instalment of the Land Rover Range Rover Sport, according to Top Gear.

Writing for the magazine, Dan Read noted that the new TDV8 model includes the 3.0-litre diesel engine that initially powered the Jaguar XF, rather than its traditional, smaller V6 unit.

Alongside a slight improvement in acceleration speed, Mr Read noted that this change allows motorists to benefit from an increased amount of standard equipment.

Among these are adaptive cruise control, active xenon lights and bigger wheels, while the ride and handling offered by the vehicle is boosted by an adaptive dynamics package.

Meanwhile, Land Rover indicates that other developments to the Range Rover Sport include a wholly redesigned interior and a bolder stance, created by revised body styling.

However, the decision has been made to retain the vehicle's Command driving position, which allows motorists to have increased road visibility and helps when completing manoeuvres.

Further comments by the manufacturer are that the vehicle "stands out from the crowd" and is the "definitive luxury sports tourer".
