A lighter and more powerful Porsche Cayenne is getting ready to make its world debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month, it has been announced.
The manufacturer says that the second generation models promise to be trend-setters in terms of their efficiency and output, increasing both fuel economy and performance.
One of the main differences compared to the previous model is a reduction in weight, with lighter materials used within the Cayenne's construction allowing it to improve economy by up to 23 per cent, as well as ensuring agility and handling are bettered.
Porsche car hire enthusiasts may wish to know that the marque will offer the 4x4 with a choice of five engines, starting with the 3.6-litre V6 petrol.
Included within this range is the Cayenne Hybrid which is the cleanest car the manufacturer sells, capable of 34.4mpg on a combined cycle and with CO2 emissions of 193 g/km.
Also being unveiled in Geneva is the 911 Turbo S.
With a 196mph top speed it will be the fastest Porsche available.
