Executive car hire enthusiasts seeking the best model in the Mercedes-Benz E-Class range should look no further than the estate model, it has been claimed.
Writing for Autocar, John McIlroy suggested that the estate is the one to go for when it comes to the E-Class.
He highlighted the car's almost effortless ability to transport its kerbweight of nearly two tonnes alongside its class-leading load capacity of 1,950 litres.
Meanwhile, the vehicle's 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel offers motorists an impressive 7.2-second zero to 62mph time.
The ride quality is "composed", while motorway cruising is described as an "impressively relaxing experience".
Furthermore, Mr McIlroy described the E350 CDI Estate as having "more planted feel" than other members of the E-Class family, with little to indicate to drivers that they were in an estate model.
Mercedes says that its estate model was designed to exude energy, agility and dynamism.
