In news that may be of interest to Chrysler car rental enthusiasts, the car manufacturer is expanding its presence across the UK.

The carmaker's models such as the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Chrysler 300C and Grand Voyager are to be displayed in seven new dealerships, which Chrysler UK Ltd has just announced.

Chrysler Stevenage, Bishop's Stortford, Hertford, Lancaster Southend, Triangle Chesterfield, Sunwin Derby and Drayton Chrysler Jeep & Dodge Shrewsbury are the seven new dealerships.

"The strengthening of our franchise will continue with the appointment of a further six new dealers to our network before the end of 2009," explained Chrysler UK managing director Federico Goretti.

He went on to state that Chrysler UK has been "busy rebuilding the confidence" in its brands, which is reaping rewards and necessitating the expansion.

The US carmaker recently announced that from 2010 its models will feature instructional DVDs instead of bulky manuals in a bid to conserve the environment by saving 22,000 trees.
