Strong sales of the Dodge Journey, Jeep Grand Cherokee and Chrysler Grand Voyager have helped Chrysler UK post its highest monthly sales this year, new figures from the firm show.

A 16.8 per cent year-on-year increase in sales was recorded by the company as 2,014 models were sold in September, beating the UK's new car registrations expansion of 11.4 per cent.

London corporate car hire users may be interested to note that successful sales and marketing campaigns launched by the firm helped it to post the good figures, which were also recorded on the Jeep Wrangler and Chrysler 300C.

Federico Goretti, managing director of Chrysler UK, said: "These September figures are a tribute to the hard work put in by our dealer network and everyone connected with Chrysler."

The company last week announced the appointment of dealerships in Stevenage, Bishop's Stortford, Hertford, Lancaster Southend, Triangle Chesterfield, Sunwin Derby and Drayton and Shrewsbury in a bid to boost its visibility.
