Land Rover has reported that its global sales for February this year were up 46.8 per cent in comparison to the same period in 2009.
The sales figures represented the sixth consecutive month that the manufacturer has seen an increase and it says this acts as a demonstration that the market is stabilising.
Particularly strong growth was seen in Europe, with some countries posting gains of over 50 per cent.
Land Rover car hire car hire customers may be encouraged to continue their loyalty with the brand after news emerged that the New England Motors Press Association recently awarded the marque a Best in Class accolade.
Stuart Schorr, vice president of communications and public affairs for the company, highlighted the achievement.
"To win a Best-in-Class award from this group of top automotive journalists confirms the Range Rover's position as the most capable luxury vehicle in the world."
A recent report by Autocar revealed that the company was in the process of creating a replacement for its iconic Defender vehicle.
