Audi is continuing to be a pioneering brand when it comes to eco-developments in motoring after showcasing an A8 hybrid at the Geneva Motor Show.
The dual-powered car can be propelled by either a 2.0-litre TFSI engine or its electric motor and produces a total power output of 245PS.
While in hybrid drive mode motorists will be able to achieve a top speed of 40mph and drive a total of two kilometres, something which Audi says makes it ideal for city driving.
Individuals looking for
executive car hire will be pleased to note that the driving experience has not been lost with the addition of an electric power source.
Furthermore, the manufacturer states that motorists will be able to benefit from a 20 per cent reduction in fuel consumption, with the car quoted as being able to achieve 45.6mpg and CO2 emissions figures of just 144g/km.
Also on display from Audi in Geneva is the marque's high-performance RS5 Coupe.
