Those interested in BMW car hire may wish to view the latest addition to the manufacturer's model range.

In celebration of the German marque's 70th anniversary of its historic Mille Miglia victory, it has released a commemorative version of its Z4 luxury sports car.

BMW plans to produce 99 of the Z4 sDrive 35is Mille Miglia Limited Edition models, with the primary changes being cosmetic upgrades.

Motorists who opt for the rare vehicle will be able to enjoy a host of visual changes including a blacked-out front grille, M division aero body kit and 19-inch dark chrome alloy wheels.

In addition, interior changes to the car such as Alcantara seats and steering wheel and Mille Miglia badging help to complete the look.

Under the bonnet drivers will be able to take advantage of the car's 335bhp turbocharged 3.0-litre engine.

The sprint to 62mph can be completed in just 4.8 seconds, while a top speed of 155mph can be achieved when road conditions allow.

BMW was successful during the 1940 Mille Miglia race thanks to its 328 model, with its lightweight and aerodynamic construction helping the manufacturer place first, third, fifth and sixth during the event.
