Car drivers looking for a vehicle that combines the style expected of a coupe with something economical to run have been pointed in the direction of a BMW 3-Series.
In a column in the Daily Telegraph, Honest John offers motorists advice on numerous issues surrounding cars, including assessments on various models currently on the market.
One recent question revolved around a driver looking for a coupe that also offered strong residuals values, alongside not having too hefty an impact on the wallet.
Honest John answered: "BMW 3-Series E92 coupe. Very good looking. Plenty of room for four and their luggage. Huge range of engines and transmissions."
Alternatively, there are a number of newer additions to BMW's coupe fleet, which not only provide good fuel consumption, but also generate relatively low amounts of carbon dioxide.
Among these is the BMW 320d SE, which allows motorists to complete close to 60 miles on a gallon of fuel while only emitting 128g/km of carbon dioxide.
Meanwhile, motorists can still accelerate to 62 miles per hour from standing in 7.9 seconds.
