Bentley, the company behind the production of some of the most prestigious cars on the road, has revealed a new commitment to the environment.
The luxury car firm has today announced that it will be renewing its efforts to go green by reducing carbon emissions from vehicles across its entire range.
Bentley says that it hopes to hit the target of seeing each of its engines producing just 120g/km of carbon emissions by the end of 2012.
The announcement marks one of a number of similar commitments to the environment being made by luxury car makers in the last few months.
Bentley chief executive Franz-Josef Paefgen said: "This is a major step in the history of Bentley, reflecting the increasing expectation from our customers around the world for performance motoring with fuel efficient engines.
"We will set a benchmark in our segment by making every engine capable of running on renewable fuels.
Adaptations being made to the range to make the cars more eco-friendly include slashing the weight of the vehicles and making engines more efficient.
