Individuals looking for
prestige car hire may be interested to hear about the quality tests that the forthcoming Bentley Mulsanne is subject to before its release.
It has been revealed that before the luxury cruiser can be signed off and sent to showrooms it must first pass a 'Checkpoint 7' sign-off phase.
This involves each flagship model passing a total of 503 separate quality checks taking place over a two-hour period.
Donna Morrey, who leads the inspection team, explained that the tests were necessary to ensure that the Mulsanne's craftsmanship and character are maintained.
"The way all the teams come together to view the pre-production models demonstrates just how much genuine pride goes into the building of these very first cars," she noted.
In addition to the quality checks, the Mulsanne must undergo a rigorous on-road evaluation on varying surfaces to test its ride and build quality.
The marque's range-topping vehicle features a 6.75-litre V8 engine which boasts the ability to race to 60mph from standstill in just 5.1 seconds.
