Bentley is to launch completely revamped version of its largest saloon in 2010.
The luxury car maker popular with car hire customers has announced that the upcoming Arnage will be an all-new design.
Instead of simply modifying the Continental Flying Spur, the new Arnage will use award-winning Audi spaceframe chassis, Autocar claims.
While using the new frame will make the body shell lighter by around 150 kgs, it will in no way compromise the characteristic features, with Bentley chairman Franz-Josef Paefgen at pains to point out that the car's soul would not be lost.
It will still feature the proportions of the existing model, including the high roof and its seating position.
Bentely recently launched the Continental Flying Spur Speed in Boston.
The vehicle does 0-60 miles per hour in 4.5 seconds and has a luxurious interior made up of the hides of at least 11 cows.
