Prestige car hire users of models such as the Bentley Continental GTC may want to avoid inhaling petrol fumes the next time they are at a filling station.

According to a scientist from Cairo University, petrol fumes can fuel aggressive behaviour and turn otherwise pleasant males into raging bulls.

Researcher Amal Kinawy, who conducted her study on 45 male rats, explained that "millions of people every day are exposed to gasoline fumes while refuelling their cars.

"Heightened aggression may be yet another risk for the human population chronically exposed to urban air polluted by automobile smoke," she added.

Models such as the Bentley Continental GTC, which can be hired from London car rental firms, are designed to offer occupants utmost luxury and maximum driving pleasure.

The Continental, alongside the Rolls Royce Phantom, Bentley Continental Flying Spur, Jaguar S-Type, Audi A6 and Mercedes C-Class Estate among others are preferred by business executives.
