Individuals interested in sports car hire may wish to learn about the latest performance-enhancing upgrade available for the Audi R8.

Designed to be fitted to the V8 version of the supercar, APS is introducing a new supercharger conversion for the vehicle that will boost both power and performance.

According to the specialist tuner, motorists opting to fit the upgrade will benefit from a jump in power and torque that will out-muscle the range-topping V10 version of Audi's high-performance vehicle.

The V8 engine will see the standard 420bhp of the car raised to 548bhp and torque jumping from 317lb.ft to 437lb.ft.

"Maintaining the original Audi quality and smoothness were key technical criteria," APS confirmed.

"Performance and reliability were major factors in the extensive research and development programme."

Meanwhile, motorists looking for the ultimate thrill from Audi's R8 car will be pleased to learn that the manufacturer is releasing a limited-edition GT version.

Capable of achieving 199mph, the vehicle is set to become the fastest production car that Audi manufactures.
