The new Audi A8 is a luxurious limo packed full of technological gadgets, according to one reviewer.

Writing for Car Magazine, Georg Kacher commends the Audi for its technological prowess, voice commands, Google Earth-powered sat nav and night vision among its discernable features.

Individuals interested in executive car hire may wish to note that Mr Kacher was particularly complimentary about the car's interior design.

"The latest A8 impresses with its tech-heavy spec sheet and a fabulous interior," he wrote.

"This is a stunning cabin … [it] conveys a sporting flavour its rivals lack. And no one does interior lighting as well as Audi."

Audi will begin by offering the car with a choice of three engines - the 3.0-litre and 4.2-litre turbodiesels will be complimented by a 4.2-litre V8 petrol-powered machine.

The vehicle is constructed from lightweight aluminium which helps to improve both its performance and economy when compared to its predecessor.
