Motorists looking for a 4x4 vehicle that smashes the competition in terms of its performance on the road should consider one of the newest offerings from Land Rover, according to a reviewer.
Tackling the icy and snow-covered roads in Scotland proved little of a challenge for Phil Lanning, as he was at the wheel of the latest Range Rover from Land Rover when completing road tests for the Sun.
Powered by a supercharged 5.0-litre V8 engine, Mr Lanning labelled the vehicle's performance as "astonishing".
Racing to 60 miles per hour from still in 5.9 seconds, the off-roader marginally missed out on matching the performance expected of a Porsche Cayenne.
Meanwhile, ride comfort has additionally been enhanced, along with the generation of carbon dioxide emissions being cut by seven per cent.
Mr Lanning added: "It's like being at the wheel of a hovercraft.
"The innovative shock absorbers monitor what is happening at each wheel an amazing 500 times per second and firm up or soften depending on the predicted road conditions."
Among the exterior features of the all-terrain vehicle are a distinctive grille, side power vents, a split tailgate and new signature headlights.
